Restaurant AIM is less than a twenty minute drive from Amsterdam. The spacious terrace, directly on the Loosdrechtse Plassen, is beautiful. What a view! Chef Wessel Ruijmgaart cooks internationally and it shows in his dishes. He clearly has knowledge of many world cuisines. I like that he changes his menu every two weeks. As a result, you cook even more in season, you stimulate the guests to come more often, but you also motivate and stimulate the kitchen team that continues to think creatively and does not get stuck in preparing the same dishes over and over again.
The love for good food and excellent wines, which are carefully matched with the dishes by vinologist and wife Latoya Ruijmgaart, make an evening at AIM a real pleasure!
For Wessel and his team, these are the 'basic ingredients' for a successful dinner and I agree. (I had lunch on the spacious, quiet terrace right on the water and it was fantastic, dinner will follow soon).
I had already seen that the restaurant also has such a nice look inside. Warm and a bit mysterious too but very relaxed with enough space between the tables for an intimate dinner!

We ate the Marinated tuna with crispy king prawn, curry, roasted orange and yuzu, Roasted filet of plaice 'Carbonara style' and BBQ little gem and for dessert the delicious Pornstar Martini' with passion fruits, pecan and vanilla.
