Erik had a conference in Lisbon. A city where I've been twice but haven't had the time to really wander around. This time I am going to take the time for that because now it is not about my work and I have the time to myself!
Of course I can't resist meeting some chefs for a glass of wine and a chat.
The weather is fine and we are there in the middle of the week. Hardly any tourists and the streets to myself. You can get the delicious Pasteis de Nata in almost any shop, but the best is really Pastéis de Belém.
We had tapas in one of the best tapas bars in Lisbon and an absolute must: Tapisco.
This bar is owned by two Michelin star chef Henrique Sá Pessoa.
Located in the PrÃncipe Real neighborhood, Tapisco serves Spanish tapas, Portuguese petiscos and vermouths, traditional flavors prepared by the Chef, who leaves the sophistication of fine dining at the door but never its quality, attention to detail and unique taste.
Don't forget to turn around every now and then when walking through the city. I have discovered small details in architecture several times. The light also falls differently, which can sometimes really give a beautiful image and where you can take the most beautiful photos.
