Strange how a teapot can represent at the same time the comforts of solitude and the pleasures of company.
On the outskirts of the city of Enschede in the Netherlands, I discovered this fantastically beautiful and calm rural teagarden called "Schuif 's aan".
In between partly trees and partly corn fields you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with homemade delicacies.
Jolande, the owner makes everything herself. From high tea plates to savory scones and ice tea. It is all delicious and beautiful to see.
Is it a rainy day? Take a seat inside or under the veranda. It is as nice as in the garden!
Creative as she is, she also gives workshops with various options as cozy children's (cooking) parties, girlfriend outings and bachelor parties.
Inside the Tea garden section is a small "Theewinkeltje" where all kinds of nice mostly homemade gifts are for sale such as: aprons, tea hats (summer / winter), teapots, hand painted porcelain, combination packages and tea.
This place is absolutely worthwhile to visit when you are in the neighborhood.
