These crisp, oven-baked seed crackers are packed with nutrient-dense ingredients like flax, pumpkin, sunflower, and hemp seeds.

Ingredients:

  • 40 g flaxseeds

  • 40 g ground flaxseeds

  • 40 g wheat flour

  • 40 g pumpkin seeds

  • 40 g sunflower seeds

  • 40 g white sesame seeds

  • 20 g hemp seeds

  • 20 g poppy seeds

  • ½ tsp fine sea salt

  • 250 ml boiling water

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Place all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Pour the boiling water over and stir with a spoon until fully absorbed and there are no dry seeds left. Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel and let sit for 15 minutes to allow the mixture to thicken and become sticky.

Spread the seed mixture evenly onto a large baking tray lined with parchment paper. Flatten it as much as possible using the back of a spoon or a spatula, spreading it into the corners and ensuring an even thickness throughout.

Optional: Sprinkle extra sunflower seeds on top and gently press them into the surface with the spatula.

Bake in the center of the oven for 30–35 minutes, until firm and golden brown. Rotate the tray halfway through baking if needed for even cooking.

Cool on the tray for about 15 minutes to let the crackers crisp up fully, then break into pieces.

Tip: Add flavor to your crackers by mixing in spices like cumin seeds or paprika powder with the dough.
